Common Questions
Everything you need to know.
Deciding between materials? Worried about noise or leaks?
Here are the honest answers to the most common questions in Lebanon.
Comparison & Material
It depends on your goal. Standard aluminum (like Sidem 2000) is common but acts as a "thermal bridge," transferring heat and cold directly into your home. While premium aluminum (like Technal) has thermal breaks, our Aluplast® uPVC systems offer superior insulation naturally. Because uPVC is non-conductive and corners are welded (not crimped), it seals significantly better against dust and water leaks than traditional aluminum joinery.
Not all uPVC is the same. We exclusively use Aluplast® profiles made in Germany, specifically formulated with "Tropical Mix" titanium dioxide stabilizers. This makes them immune to high UV radiation. Unlike cheaper regional profiles that may discolor, our systems come with a 10-year warranty against yellowing or cracking, proven in Lebanon's climate.
Absolutely. We know the Mandaloun and traditional aesthetic is vital for Lebanese homes. We offer high-definition laminated foils that replicate the texture and look of wood (Oak, Nut tree, Golden Oak) so realistically that you cannot tell the difference from a distance. You get the warmth of wood without the maintenance of painting or varnish.
Noise & Comfort
Yes, this is our specialty. Generator hum is a low-frequency noise that standard double glazing often fails to stop. We use specific acoustic glass combinations (asymmetric thickness) and EPDM compression gaskets that cut noise by up to 45dB. It turns the roar of a generator or street traffic into a distant whisper, creating a peaceful environment for sleep or work.
Water leakage in aluminum usually happens at the corners where the metal is mechanically connected (crimped). uPVC corners are fusion-welded, creating a solid, continuous piece of material that is physically impossible for water to penetrate. Combined with our multi-point locking system that presses the sash tightly against the frame, we guarantee a hermetic seal against driving rain.
Most homes in Lebanon lose 40% of their energy through single-pane or poor-quality aluminum windows. Our double vitrage (double glazing) systems keep the heat out in summer and the warmth in during winter. Clients typically report a 30% reduction in their diesel or electricity bills immediately after installation.
Installation & Maintenance
Our uPVC profiles retain their color and finish for years, even under strong sun exposure, without fading or repainting. Unlike wood, they do not require staining or re-coloring. uPVC is virtually maintenance-free—no frequent roller or brush replacements like aluminum. Cleaning is simple with a damp cloth. We use Roto® German hardware, tested for thousands of cycles, and stock all spare parts locally in Lebanon for reliable after-sales support.
Yes. While "Glass Curtains" (Rideau de Verre) are popular for views, they often leak air and dust. If you want to turn your balcony into a true living space (an office or sitting room), uPVC sliding systems are the better choice. They provide the same view but with proper insulation, making the room usable 365 days a year, regardless of the weather.
We price per project based on specific engineering needs (design, glass type, color, and precise measurements). We offer a free site visit, after which we provide a clear and detailed quotation along with detailed drawings that show exactly how the windows and doors will look and you know exactly what you are paying for.
